Aha moment #3
I was talking to a supervisee this week about how to craft an elevator pitch for networking with a view to changing careers. She felt pigeonholed in her current role and overwhelmed about where to start. Her Aha Moment came when she realised that she actually wants to talk about how her skills can relate to future roles, she doesn’t have to only describe what she does right now. Sometimes our role in reflective practice is to support the supervisee to imagine a future where the current constraints don't exist. The tightrope for the supervisor is how to ask guiding, yet not leading, questions!
