My musings on my favourite snippets about climate over the Institute of Directors conference in May 2024 - what a great 2 days of content (and more of my top 5's to come...).
- Considering the economic value of nature, what is the natural capital in our companies?
- Climate is no longer an emerging risk – how do we accurately monitor it on our risk heat map/matrix?
- Directors have accountability for the use of resources (not just what we leave behind) not just to stakeholders, but the wider public – what legacy are we leaving? As Dr Rod Carr said, directors need to be responsible stewards of shareholders capital – financial, social and environmental.
